We had a wonderful experience using Gilday Construction to update our home’s exterior trim. One side of my home is 3.5 stories off the ground, and I had the hardest time finding someone willing to help us repair/replace our weather stricken fascia. I’m so, so glad I found Todd with Gilday Construction! He reached out to me very quickly after I called the office and was extremely communicative and responsive to messages. In short, my project was anything but ordinary. I chose to re-roof and re-clad a multi-million dollar home in almost 100% Corten A606-4 standing seam 22G rapidly oxidizing steel (Google pictures if you are not familiar with this material).
Very few GC’s will touch it due to its tricky installation process (especially the cladding installation and associated oxidation / reduction issues involved). Gilday was the singular exception and they gave it 110% - with a distinctive and beautiful look.
In addition, I wanted every piece of casement clad in 20G copper. This consisted of tons of custom fabrication (all new wood casement, custom high temperature water shield wraps, and custom copper breaks). They framed all windows, doors, garage, etc. There were dozens of custom casements. As far as I can determine, this had never been done, anywhere, before. Brian Gilday (and his brothers, Mark and Steven) ended up executing these details flawlessly.
We then installed 100% copper box gutters, downspouts, and flashing to tie everything together.
I have spent 40 years doing nothing but designing, constructing, and operating hundreds of restaurants, hotels, and resorts (e.g., Johnny Rockets Group, Intercontinental Hotel Group, PLC London, Private Equity backed investments, etc.). This is not my first rodeo. Speaking to retail consumers, architects, and other GC’s, if you have a unique project that requires lots of on -site supervision (Brian was there almost every day - and reachable 24-7), Gilday is the only Group I can recommend in all of central Tennessee.
Naturally when it came to to have my needed roof replacement due to hail damage, Gilday was who I called.
They not only assessed my roof damage, but also assisted with the insurance process to get it approved...it was easy, quick and well done.
I appreciate that Chris Corley was hands on the entire time and ensured that I understood the process, how to prepare, helped with color selection, personally checked often on the how the roof was going on and made sure that I was happy with the entire job when it was completed.
I would highly recommend Gilday Construction Group to anyone and everyone who wants a roof replacement done professionally, efficiently and effectively...job WELL DONE!
The initial communication. Was slow. Called on a Tuesday and it was Saturday before they could arrive and that q was to provide an estimate (not repairs). However Paul grabbed a ladder and applied interim repairs to protect our home until the full service date. Their continued communication and service from them on was terrific. Very thankful for Paul and Gilday for their help.
